About Us

Who we are

We are two young entrepreneurs with over 10 years of experience in the Italian tourism industry. We’ve always had a dream: share our passion for art and history with visitors traveling to Italy, by offering them exclusive and memorable tour services. Everything began in Rome, the Eternal city, which arguably boasts the most beautiful and popular masterpieces that the world has to offer.

After many years of work in some of the most awarded travel agencies of Rome, we decided to start our own business and partnered with Love Holidays, a long-standing tour operator in Italy. With their support, we managed to establish Exploro Tours, an online tour operator firm whose mission is to offer exclusive tour experiences at competitive rates. We like to call it: “affordable luxury”.

Since our ultimate goal is to provide the best tour experience for our customers, in a cosy and exclusive environment, we decided to offer only private and small group tours of maximum 10 people.

An Intimate Experience

We want our customers to receive dedicated attention from the tour guide, to have an in-depth experience and ask all of the questions they have in mind without suffering the pressure of other 15-20 people in the group.

Professional Tour Guides

We only collaborate with professional tour guides, including university professors that possess a background in Art History or Archeology in order to deliver the best possible tour experience.

VIP Tickets and Exclusive Access

We provide VIP “skip the line” tickets for all museums and archaeological sites. Furthermore, thanks to our strong relationships built over the many years of work, we are able to offer exclusive tours in areas usually closed to the public. This includes the Vatican gardens and underground sites.

Small Group and Private Transfers

We also organize private and small group transfers from pick-up locations to destinations with English-speaking drivers and luxury transportation.

Fantastic day with Georgea!

Our wonderful guide Georgea picked us up at our hotel in Rome for a fantastic day trip to visit Villa d’Este and Hadrian’s Villa. Georgea was a perfect guide, very knowledgeable and super friendly, making for a memorable day visiting two wonderful historic sites in Tivoli.

Great tour of the Vatican will recommend!

Alex was awesome… very knowledgeable with great delivery, language (English) was impeccable, pace of the tour was right on, and everything went smoothly. It doesn’t hurt that the Vatican is an overwhelming experience for a first timer. We have friends and family visiting Rome soon and will definitely recommend the same experience for them.

Fabulous day in the Eternal City

This tour was well worth the money. Prompt hotel pick up and no waiting in lines all day! Louisa and Paqualino our guides totally made the experience, their local knowledge and expertise were invaluable.

Tour fantastique

Du début à la fin, ce tour fut excellent. Le jeune guide Alessio nous a récupéré en bas de notre hotel et nous a emmené à travers Rome et son histoire. Ses anecdotes étaient à la fois amusantes et très enrichissantes. Je recommande vivement à toute sorte de groupe!

Tours in Rome

We loved our tour of the Vatican museum, the Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica so much we signed up for another tour of the Colosseum and the Forum when we were back in Rome. Our guide Alessio was equal parts friendly and professional, with a deep knowledge of history that allowed us to focus on the essentials, thus avoiding being overwhelmed by vast historical information while providing just the right amount of detail to bring history to life, all of it in perfect English. I highly recommend Exploro Tours! We can’t wait for our next tour!
